Development and design for Webhelp + HP 3D Lab
Project Overview
Website designed to assist Webhelp/HP advisors in gaining a comprehensive understanding of available resources and the current status of our HP3D printers. It also facilitates the booking of appointments with technicians/trainers.
Introduction
Webhelp + HP built together an innovative 3D Fusion Lab to support advisors, and to print many items, such as face masks and respirators parts.
Problem
Webhelp and HP collaborate to provide support for HP 3D Printers. Within their lab, printers are available for advisors, trainers, and teams to use as required.
To stay updated on all printers, technicians, and trainers, a multitude of protocols and check-ups have been in place to ensure the machines are in working order. Additionally, coordinating various trainings and scheduling appointments with technicians has been a part of their routine.
Until now, different methods have been utilized for these tasks. The concept is to streamline these processes into a singular portal for Webhelp employees.
Initial step
The initial phase involved identifying all protocols and issues associated with the existing methods and steps. This included a comprehensive analysis of how each profile operated and the obstacles they encountered.
Collaborating with the HP 3D project manager, we determined the optimal features that would enhance the overall process.
To gain insights from various perspectives, I conducted interviews with six users, each representing distinct profiles. This approach was valuable in understanding the diverse challenges faced by different user types, considering the varied audience set to utilize the portal.

Plataform
This platform will provide advisors, technicians, and trainers with real-time updates on machine statuses, indicating whether printers are in
use or require maintenance. Users can schedule appointments with specialized technicians or trainers and effectively manage their bookings.
- Printer: Book appointments and check the status of printers.
- Technicians: Schedule appointments and view the schedule for specialized employees.
- Booking: Efficiently manage and cancel ongoing bookings.
Web portal
Currently in the final stages of development, this website is nearly ready to launch and represents the culmination of thorough user research.
The design is entirely user-centered, leveraging information and data to create features that enhance the overall experience for advisors, technicians, and trainers.
