Development and design of an app for Webhelp.
Project Overview
The application was designed to assist Webhelp employees during their relocation to the new building and streamline certain company processes.
Introduction
Webhelp design, deliver and optimize unforgettable human experiences for today's digital world.
Problem
Webhelp moved from many buildings around Barcelona to one campus. This move is time consuming and it impact a lot in the employee day-to-day. With this new change, it also started the hybrid model work.
I have been developing together with my project manager, many email marketing to communicate many steps of themoving process and also the new building facilities.
In this process we came across with some issues from employees and from others project managers that
we were not aware of.
Initial step
Webhelp transitioned from multiple buildings across Barcelona to a unified campus, a move that proved to be time-consuming and significantly impacted the day-to-day routines of employees. This transition also marked the beginning of the hybrid and remote work model.
In collaboration with my project manager, I have been actively involved in the development of various email marketing campaigns. These campaigns aimed to communicate the different steps of the moving process and provide information about the new building facilities.
Throughout this process, we encountered challenges raised by employees and other project managers, issues that were not initially apparent to us.
Userflow
Given that the application have multiple functionalities, we have outlined some of the key ones:
- Desk
- Parking Spot
- Building Map
The App
As previously stated, this application aims to assist employees with various daily tasks, including navigating the new building map and accessing HR and Communication department processes.
- Desk: Employees can reserve their desks using the app.
- Parking Spot: Users can request parking spaces for cars, electric cars, motorbikes, bikes, and scooters. These requests are routed directly to the relevant department for approval.
- Building Map: An interactive map enables employees to locate their floor and project within the building.
- Information: The app allows users to handle ongoing reservations and parking requests, along with a dedicated section addressing frequently
asked questions.
Prototype
Upon my departure from the company, the app was in its final stages of development.
This achievement was a direct result of meticulous user research, which served as the foundation for a completely user-centered design. Leveraging the insights from the collected data enabled us to craft these features, ultimately enhancing the overall employee experience.
